- 3 WEEKS BEFORE
- Contact doctor/dentist/optician/schools
- Inform utilities services
- Obtain veterinary advice (for moving pets)
- Organize finances/credit cards
- Inform local council/bank/clubs
- Redirect mail
- Inform landlord/tenant
- 1 WEEK BEFORE
- Empty garage, loft, rundown freezer contents
- Organize removal of satellite dish
- Change of address cards
- Organize child and pet sitters
- Cancel magazines, newspaper and milk
- Return borrowed items
- Advise neighbours of move day
- check travel arrangements
- Update with solicitor
- Collect any orders/dry cleaning
- THE DAY BEFORE
- Pack valuables/jewellery
- Empty fridge and freezer
- Prepare electrical appliances i.e. washer
- Make final arrangements via utility services
- Confirm key arrangements
- Advise removal company of any last minute changes
- Organize meals and drinks for tomorrow
- Complete packing, check all cupboards
